"x:\mint\1-16-cur\" where 'x' is the boot partition.

If you have FreeMiNT official beta 1.16.x (where x is >= 0) installed, you
must make a copy of your beta installation system dir and call it
'1-16-cur'. That is, if you have installed FreeMiNT 1.16.1 official beta,
you will have 'c:\mint\1-16-1\' which you copy to 'c:\mint\1-16-cur'.
Then copy the files from this archive to that newly created system directory,
EXCEPT the mint.cnf file, which you reuse, SEE NOTE!

If you have not installed a previous beta, you are adviced to do so before
proceeding!

If you have installed a previous alpha release, you should back up your
current 'c:\mint\1-16-cur\'. Then copy the files from this archive over your
existing ones, EXCEPT the mint.cnf file which you reuse from your previous
installation, SEE NOTE!

NOTE: The mint.cnf file present here is an example file, and need to be edited
before use! You can most probably just reuse your old mint.cnf from an
earlier 1-16.x installation. If only 1.15.x or earlier is installed,
keep in mind that many configuration keywords have changed, so to reuse
older mint.cnf, add or modify 1.16.x specific config to it, using the
      example mint.cnf as a reference.

Only the generic (for all machines) xdd/xfs are present here. You need to
additional drivers from the 'driver' directory into your new c:\mint\1-16-cur\.
